If you want to go back to stock firmware on your rooted Verizon LG V20, you can easily do it if you have backed up your stock firmware. But what you do if you have installed another custom ROM like Lineage OS or Resurrection Remix ROM but forgot to backup ROM?
There is KDZ file floating on XDA forums right now that should be able to get you back 100% stock but you will lose your unlocked bootloader, root, and will have to go through the long root process if you ever want to re-install custom ROM.
Instead, there is Modded NotSoStock ROM that will get you back on 100% stock firmware with better performance, battery life, and working FM radio. It is very easy to install and you simply have to install the ROM and custom kernel. You will also be able to keep root via SuperSU on this ROM and enjoy full features of a rooted V20. And yes, for headphone addicts there’s even Viper4Android working out of the box so you can fully tweak the sound for headphones.
There is also Color Control app that allows you to fully customize the colors to your liking. E.g. You can tweak the saturation, colors, contrast, and much more.
While custom ROM development has begun, you may want to sometimes go back to stock firmware to enjoy the full functionality of your cameras with the native camera app and also the secondary screen which is broken for any AOSP-based ROMs. So, if you need to go back to stock, install this and you should be good to go!
Installation – Reboot into TWRP, factory reset, install ROM, install kernel, install SuperSU(if you want root), then reboot.
